Assalamu Alaikum, JazakumAllahu Khayr for visiting us! Welcome to India’s first online Islamic store for kids. I am Aaliyah Khan, your sister-in-Islam and founder of The IslamicKidStore. Being the wife of an I.T. consultant, I have had the opportunity to travel to a few western countries such as the U.K and Canada. My stay in those countries made me realise that Indian muslims do not have access to good Islamic resources of books, toys, DVDs, charts, games etc to teach their kids, in spite of having the third largest population of muslims. Another cause for concern is that most Indian Muslims do not go beyond conventional Madarsa education for their children. As a result, children grow up following Islam ritually but have no connection with Allah. Our first step as parents should be to develop and nurture the love of Allah and then instruct them to offer Salaah, read Quran and so on. I read a verse in the Quran which states, "O you who believe, protect yourselves and your family from the fire whose fuel will be men and stones." (66:6)

Also a Hadith states, ‘The best gift to children from parents is their correct upbringing" (Tirmidhi) These verses suggest that as parents we are shepherds of our flock (children) and are responsible to inculcate Islam in their lives . Alhamdulillah, I am blessed with two kids and realise how some Indian muslim families have to bear the brunt of high shipping charges of importing islamic products from abroad. Even though some have the desire to purchase such products, they are not able to, because of the high cost involved. So, Alhamdulillah, here we are to help you in this effort. Our website has a large number of Islamic books, toys, DVDs which will make kids learn Islam in a fun and joyful manner.
